Sound Asleep.

by Poet on the Piano   Nov 26, 2011

Dancing
without feeling,
wandering
without knowing,
breathing
without living,

it all envelops me
when I am unspoken for.

And when my dream cap
starts to shake,
that's when I know
life itself
has called me
to its
center.

You say so much with so few words. The emotion in this is astounding!

I especially liked the last stanza. Well done!

This poem truly says so much in such a little piece, my goodness. I pulled a few different interpretations out of this, but my favorite is taking it for what it says. The literal sense of this piece is just so strong. The constant fluidity of wandering, being lost in your life, hitting that rough patch, stuck in your dreams and unable to move forward until your calling comes. I Love it!
