Live Like the Wildlife

by Hannah M.   Jun 24, 2004

Sunny days I take a break
waiting for life to wake

I sit outside
and watch all rise

The morning dew
is nothing new

The birds I see up in the sky
seem so free, they're flying high

The other animals run about
scurrying round their normal route

The flowers open up to the sun
they stand alone, the only one

I watch as their lives bustle
caught up in their morning hustles

This is life I see it now
as the sweat drops from my brow

Fresh and new, they start each day
from their tasks they never stray

Do they live in the past
or try to make this day last

Yesterday is said and done
so let's go out and have some fun

Rise like the wildlife
without a strife

Go along your daily tasks
and when someone comes and asks

Why you have that little bounce
you can say and announce

I'm living like the wild
happy as a child

I want to live today
like there is no tomorrow
