I commend you in this piece- by the end you bring out this courageous side that I can't help but rooting on. I really liked how you explained your desires, their simplicity, and how you've been without even that for a long time because of this person or their memory. It was creative how you put in all caps the "flip" "flap" and "freedom". because it shows you do have wings, you do have independence, and you are going to find it. Maybe it was hidden for a bit, but not anymore.
