Freedom

by Lori   Dec 2, 2011

You want me to be happy
Yet you criticize
You resent me for me
I think you're telling lies

Life is about independence
It's a part of being eighteen
But there you go telling me
Like it's everything you've seen

The truth is you've seen nothing
My heart tells me so
I know exactly what I'm doing
So quit acting like you know

Let me live my life
Allow me to make mistakes
Give me the freedom you have yourself
I'm an adult for goodness sakes

Great rhyme, flows and scheme..it well-written,
I agreed with Bobby..we can learn from our mistakes and that we can decide which direction we shall path...everyone of us have freedom and it depends upon you how to live that freedom...
anyways,..your poem is very interesting, I enjoyed it..well-written5/5

One thing about experience is that we make mistakes to learn them at times, we have to listen to those God places in our lives for many times they have walked the path we are now on.

I really like the line "You resent me for me"
we can only be me for if we are not we are now the lie
