I like how you started with a quote. The future, present and past, I think the three are important. And that each compliments each other. The Present should be live like there is no future but looking back at the past for reassurance on what we have rush and have made errors. 
The present later on turns into our past and Therefore newer actions that one needs to mediate are formed  and  is up us to find Ways to improve ourself base on our past but not just that it becomes the memories that many of us treasure whether they are bad or good. And our future will be base on the actions we make at our present but looking back at the past for advice. So I think that the past is important and that it shouldnt be void. that's what I think you wanted to say with this piece.

Wow, Michael this poem is so well-written and so meaningful. I thoroughly enjoyed it! I love the beginning - the quote is perfect, and I have a fascination with the past, present and future, and they are all relevant, even when people try to keep the past in the past, but it still is relevant, because if you want to learn from your past you need to remember it!
And the second stanza was excellent... it was a very interesting poem to read :)
