Anchor Me

by xoxShorteexox   Dec 4, 2011

You keep me on the ground when I feel like flying,
the one that makes me hit rock bottom with a line,
throwing me away whenever you've had enough,
letting all those "other fish" swim around me.

Baby, if there's thousands of fish in the sea,
throw me out once more so I can find the best,
you've already sunk me more times than I can count,
laughing as I hit the rocky ground once more.

You're pulling me up from the sea floor once more,
I'm just a dead weight for you, you've always said,
so why keep me at bay anchored like a stray,
when we know what you'll do when you're through?

Throw me back out to sea like the anchor you made me,
I'm tired of being tied to your boat and anchored at bay,
sink me down so far that I can be left alone for now,
I'll wait for those other fish and hope they're better than you.

    I love love this :)
    gonna nominate.

I love how you compare yourself to an anchor saying that if you dont want me, throw me back so you can find someone else :)

I can see this in my mind & relate to it.<3
