Can't you come back?

by LockedAway   Dec 7, 2011

You were a very dear friend to me
I cared about you
As you did me
You built me up when I was down
And when everyone else was gone
Your heard what my voice was
You gave me confidence to let it out
To show the world that I could sing
You gave me courage
That I couldn't give myself
You showed me that there is always
A bright side to what we see

But there was someone who didn't agree
Someone who ended your life early
Of his own stupidity
He didn't care who was around him
Just that he was haveing a good time
And that he didn't care who he hurt
Or he would have known
That drinking and driving along with drugs
Was dangerous not only to ones self
But to all

He took you away and now there is a void
That will never be filled
Becasue no one could ever take your place
We all loved you and couldn't believe
You were taken away from us so soon

I am happy that now you are at rest
And out of this hated world
But it hurt so bad that we could not say goodbye
Becasue of the love you've shown me
I will continue with what you taught me
May you rest in peace
And may he feel awful for taking you away from us

Dedicated to Mary Ryan. She was a wonderful Band teacher and tought me the magic of music and of writing. Of the art that it really was. I will never be the same. We all miss you.
