    You have to love Haikus!

You have done very well with this one

These fir trees remind me of Christmas trees in December. Though it is Summer in Australia in December it is Winter in many other countries

The use of the words ice crystals reminds me of snow...

And of course the last line reminds me of some beautiful nature filled place covered in snow in Winter time where people go to cut their own trees down at Christmas time

    I really love this!!!

    Well done

Jen Haiku's are my ultimate favorite. what other says so much with so few words.
You can paint the most wonderful images if worded correctly and my friend you have used your colors of paint to dazzle and bring to life something beautiful

I'm always amaze how some poetess can come up with a short piece rather summarize their thoughts in a haiku structure and still give an excellent imagery.
You did an excellent job, this piece connected with me. I was able to not just see trees with snow but a list of movies that I've seen just kept streaming in my mind, Christmas pops up, cold winter yet warm, hot chocolate and bread, hehe I'm going out of topic but good job. I love this piece.

There is something magical about the seasons and I agree with everyone else the is a beautiful write. I have never heard anyone use trees as an ocean before. That was very interesting to me. But an ocean is very vast so what I thought of first is a vast cospe of trees in a forest of some kind. The scene you paint with just the first line is perfect. Nictating is a great word too and I had to look it up but its so great.

Nictating small ice crystals: what a beautiful write. Now I can imagine a vast forest of trees trickled with snow and ice hanging from it. The last line is great as well because it wraps up the whole poem and what you wanted to say. Snow is a beautiful and not a lot of people look at it as such. I love the title as well because it says what you want to say. Great. 5
