Silent Footsteps

by Innocent Fairy   Dec 9, 2011

Silent footsteps
linger at my door

A whisper
I can't hear more

What is it you say,
I can't hear
Tell me more

Truth is
your mouth
is not moving

You speak
no words

You hold me closely
and tightly,
sighing
you let go

Those footsteps
I heard before
now fade
as you disappear

You had nothing to say
not even a goodbye
I could feel what you feel

So what did I do wrong?

This one stands out more than others in this topic. It has deep symbolism, in a sad enchanting way, particularly in the last 2 stanza's:

    Those footsteps
    I heard before
    now fade
    as you disappear

    You had nothing to say
    not even a goodbye
I could feel what you feel

So what did I do wrong?

A well written poem reflecting a depth in feelings portrayed and the sadness.

I love the feelings here too, the tints of sadness and the general impressions, however you need to play with the punctuation and have a different touch..especially when say he say.. try add " " or dashes, because it killed the flow and i had to repeat more than once to catch the meaning.
other than that, i love it, i love all ur work..
