Going back in time

by Dagmar Wilson   Dec 10, 2011

So many times
i have wondered
how life would be
if only i could go back in time

turning back the clock
knowing what i know now
unfortunately, it's not possible

hurtful words were spoken
fighting pain with pain
allowing anger and bitterness
get in the way

i am only human
far from being perfect
if only i took the time and listen

sometimes pride got in the way
and i did not feel the need
to say what i wanted to say

as time went on
efforts being made to make amends
eventually i realized
there was no going back
it was too late

if only i could go back in time
so many cries and tears
could have been prevented

We all wish we could...but you know through all that
pain and hurt there are valuable lessons we have learnt which
makes us understand life and go ahead forward been a bit more
    wiser...take care

How true. The older we get the more wise we become. I think we all have regrets that cannot be put right. Peace of the Heart is acceptance of what cannot be undone and it's not easily achieved xx

We do dumb things when emotions and pride get involved.
That is why regret always comes too late.
