The Old Tale!

by Jack Nightengale   Dec 11, 2011

Snips and snails
Boiling in pails
Ghostly howls and deadly wails
Cast the sound of the witches spells

Trouble doubled
Boiled and bubbled
Jar of voices left it snuggled
Snatched the youth leaving it tunneled

Sticks and stones
Old bats bones
Taking children from out of their homes
These old hags will never leave us alone

This is the story of how it has been,
How it was back then,
The story that frightens,
Until the morning when it all ends,
Just for night to come and again the ritual begins.

    WOW Kris !!

This is different than what usually write, but hey I like it !!

The way it flows and rhymes in imaginary. It really does sound like an old tale, it captures your attention once you start reading the first line.

    Creative piece.
