Turning Tables

by Yakari Gabriel   Dec 12, 2011

More venting,less poetry.
----------------

Here I turn the tables,

I'm changing the way
I see the situation..

I'm no longer going
to hold my own mind
hostage,not going
to question myself
again -

I'm done thinking
I wasn't good enough
for you to keep me..

I'm starting to believe
that you left me,
only because you
always knew
I could manage by myself..

although,
it hurts to live without
you,

truth is ;

most heroes never stick
around long enough
to watch their
accomplishments..

and you were no
exception..

you left so many
seeds in my heart..
they're all blooming now
and you're not here.

    "most heroes never stick

Oh how true is that! So often people do the good deeds or good whatever it is and they come back around only when doom and gloom is back. Never get to relish in the good stuff.

    "you left so many
    seeds in my heart..
    they're all blooming now
    and you're not here. "

This is my favorite stanza of yours... it's very much a "I'm doing okay, things are still happening.. but you're not here and I want you to be.. and it's just not fair". I loved this!
