Loves Spell

by Jeff Weiner   Dec 13, 2011

A sudden rush flowed through my body
when she walked into the door,
With a smile that melted my bones
as my tongue fell to the floor,

Trying not to look like a fool
I went over to say hello,
She returned with pleasant conversation
and my heart began to overflow,

We flirted back and forth a bit
as she seemed to like me too,
Then I felt like a cartoon character
with lips that hung to my shoe,

Losing the ability to speak
with the words on the tip of my tongue,
She stared at me waiting for an answer
in the air that moment hung,

When the phone rang I answered it quick
and the moment was over for sure,
Then I looked up and she was gone
leaving me wanting her that much more,

Will I ever see her again
only time will tell,
Will I respond better that time
or once again fall into Loves spell
