This poem is beautiful. It made me think of myself. The pain of love/a deep loss is a heavy burden. We carry it for the rest of our lives no matter how many times we may find love again.

I love the title. Hypothermia saves me from feeling - makes me think of someone being too numb to feel any emotions. Similar to the way someone cuts themselves to avoid feeling the pain that they feel sometimes.

I read the first stanza which was very powerful and at first thought that this poem was about a breakup itself. Towards the end I realised that the person had died - this is quite sad and moving

Show me some meaning, a point to all we went through,
When the road only seemed to culminate and end in my losing you.
All the times that you fell, and I put you back on your feet,
The drugs and the alcohal, you just couldn't beat.

It's sad to feel like we go through so much in our relationships and fight for love and in the end when this happens you think why did we go through this? What was the point when in the end we're left with nothing

It can take a long time to get through someone's passing. I am sorry for your loss if this is someone close you have written about. I assume with the words that this person has died due to drugs / alcohol? I know someone who did so this poem is close to me.

I am sadenned by what you penned but still very glad to have read such a powerful and moving piece of work. I love the title. When I read it I knew it was gonna be packed full of something. Being sorry for you won't matter, I see that you have the best possible means of coping. Your words are piercing. Mmmm that was a heck of a read. You have moved me very deeply, very very deep.
