Hidden

by Midnightowl2   Dec 14, 2011

There was a path that I could see from the distance.
It was an old dirt path that trailed into the dark forest.
Out of all the years that I have lived here, I never walked that trail.
Something is in there, keeping my innocence sane.
I can only wonder what is hidden in those trees, beneath the grass or even right in front of me.
I wanted to find out.
I walked in my white cotton dress that fit my body perfectly.
My blonde hair that fell perfectly beneath my breasts.
I could feel the wind pulling me in, as if I am meant to be here.
The sky above me was painted with colors that dazed me.
The leaves on the trees were falling behind me every time I walked after the trees.
Is this real?
I see an old runned down cottage that set perfectly here in these woods.
What is this? I asked myself.
I walked in to this cottage and I could see the old pictures hanging from the walls, broken glass, and ruined furniture that was still placed in here.
I remembered this.
I have been here before.
I laid down starring up at the ceiling.
Laughter fulfilled my mind.
His voice came to me and the only thing I could do was stare at his beautiful face.
To embrace him with my presence.
I couldn't.
