ILL FATED

by April Vernie   Dec 15, 2011

Bonded by wires of solitude,
With care and compassion we have grown,
United with one fear idle,
This bond can never last forever.

Your hands are soft as dew foam,
Arms embrace me, both pictures of care,
Not tedious but full of acceptance,
You were once my acquaintance.

As we reached the peak of the pace,
I started to realize all those consequences,
And that someday will be apart,
Who knows tomorrow or this present so fast?

With great strength though full of fear,
I did accepted your deathly goodbye,
And alone faced the last drop,
Of tears here in my eyes.

I hate goodbyes, often times I say;
But what I didn't realize is that I should have hated memories,
Because goodbyes are nothing but today's words,
But memories are till tomorrow's swore.
