A distant star

by Julie   Dec 16, 2011

I saw a star,
The only star that night,
And it was shining brightly
with cold blue light.

Bewitched I stayed
Just loooking in the skies,
I felt hot flow of tears
Coming from my eyes.

It seemed to me
That I had always been
In impenetrable darkness
No stars being seen.

I reached my hand,
I tried to catch that star,
But faith is not enough
To get so far..

I couldn't fly
Without wings behind my back,
I watched the star just fall
And leave a track.

The distant star..
Your cold blue sparkling eyes,
I can't forget their shining,
I can't forget your lies.

It's dark again,
And I don't see my way,
I hate and love you much,
But you're so far away...
