The Star In My Sky

In one of my darkness days
I asked "What is it you see in me?"
I don't believe I can offer you much
You said it was something about my eyes
My thoughts and rants
And a little boy smile
All of this sounds strange
Like someone trying to make you feel good
Even though I know you're there
A comforting voice
A warm embrace
I still feel alone
When the days of darkness finally pass
My eyes see clearly
What has always been there
The star in my sky
The reason for my next breath
