Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

by sun spots   Dec 18, 2011

The distance between us can be measured in miles.
But if i close my eyes i can still see your smile.
I reach out and touch your soft silk smooth skin.
And imagine the day that we can begin.
A new life together here or there.
Were that place is i don,t really care.
I just want you with me to be part of my life.
I hope one day to make you my wife.
And as each day passes i move closer to you.
And when i open my eyes you open yours to.
facing each other after all of this time.
Twenty eight years it feels like a crime.
A sentence of absence without seeing your face.
it should not have happened.
But now things will change.

Forever yours.

    This part touched me deeply:
"And imagine the day that we can begin.
A new life together here or there.
Were that place is i don't really care."
I one-hundred percent relate to that and the whole poem but that party really got to me as that is exactly how I feel. Willing to pick up and start my life over as long as she is by my side. Love is beautiful and worth all the risk. <3
