Love is...

by Daniel Mulvany   Dec 18, 2011

Love is...
In this heart,
Swift, repetitive rush,
Like storm waves pounding,
Powerful and unrelenting,
Ripping, racing through my veins,
When she smiles.

Love is...
In these hands,
Coarse and firm,
Yet moved to a tremble,
Like the ground in an earthquake,
Shaking, unsteady,
Moistened surface like morning dew,
When she moves in close.

Love is...
In my mind,
Beauty in motion,
Hips swaying, hair dancing,
Like leaves on a breeze,
Fluid and effortless,
When she passes by.

Love is...
In these eyes,
Damming up, fighting back,
Against the melancholy rhythm,
Of tears falling, sure and steady,
That, though now like the rain,
Came on like a rip tide,
The day she took his hand.

Love is...
Gone.

Wow, the flow was just amazing and I just watched the scene played out before my eyes. That was just amazing.
