This is a poem I can definately relate to having watched a family member suffer from this debilitating illness. It's horrible to watch a person who was once a huge part of your life end up like an empty shell. It's also very difficult, as your poem suggests, for the people who have to deal with it.

Very nicely written, and beautifully worded.

You penned something heart wrenching. It has to be a living hell for those standing by watching and not being able to help
I think you penned perfection in describing this horror. Your poem was filled with emotion, powerfully worded with a smooth easy flow.
    Excellent

This is as good or better than anything from my close friend's Dorothy Womack's book

What a powerful topic to write about and you have made this poem so moving. What a sad story and i can feel your pain as you stand and watch this happen. It is such an awful illness for not only the person suffering it but all those around who get affected also.

I liked your title choice, it is very fitting ith not only the poem but also that of the thoughts of a sufferer.

    Nice job. x
