You are everywhere,
on the lifeless nights where I wonder
if anyone sees I hold a help sign-
but You come with light.
You have brought love into my life,
love I would have never known....
love I would never have recognized....
love I would have thought to be
impossible.
But You are and do all things
possible, and through You
the world is beautiful.
Though my eyes sometimes
are shut, I can always be reminded
that You sacrificed Your son
for the salvation of all of us.
Approaching this Christmas,
I know my heart will be feeling
weightless,
because You bore upon Yourself
the weight of our insecurities and darkness.
You gave not only Your life
but unspeakable joy
that can never be forgotten.
Thank you oh Lord
for everything before me
and everything I don't see.
