*My GrandFather*

by Danielle   Jun 24, 2004

Please Grandpa You Can't Die On Me
There's No One Else, Can't You See?
I Know Your In Pain And I Should Let You Go
My Mind Is Saying To Do This
But My Heart Is Saying No
I Know Your Very Strong
You Taught Me To Be
I Saw In You What?s Right And Wrong
To See, What Not To see
A Little Longer Now
They Have To Pull The Plug
So You Have To Pull Through For Me
Shine And Rise Above
So Many Thoughts And Memories
Are Racing Through My Head
Our Fishing Trips And Camping Fun
A Tear I Shall Not Shed
Its Killing Me To See You
Lying There Helpless And Alone
But I Know You Can Over Come
Like You Have Always Shown
Your Breaths Are Getting Shorter
Your Mind Is Going Black
The Tears Are Flowing and Flowing
Please Grandpa Come Back!
I Love You So Much
You Are A Father To Me
You Have Always Been There
Why Do You Have To Leave
I hate that theres no time
I just hope its not too late
To tell you I love you
To tell you to wait
I?ll be with you grandpa
Again some day
Ill run into your arms
And talk about our yesterdays.
You?ll smile down at me
With that soft little glow
That moment will freeze in time
Youre my one and only hero

Ill wait for that moment Grandpa
So Im not going to say good bye
Youll be in my dreams, my heart
So for me, you never died

I Miss You Pa. DoN't FoRgEt Me

    Hey Danielle
Aww, that was a really touching poem. I'm not usually a sensitive person in a sense that I cry over people's poems, but this one brought tears to my eyes. Though you wrote of a sad event, you did so with great talent. I liked the flow of the poem as well as the words you have used. Keep your head high and remain strong. Be happy and do things with great effort. I'm sure that is what your grandfather would like for you to do. I wish you all the best and take good care of yourself.
    Deepest sympathy,
    Kristina
