Why can't we have peace?

I'm wishing for peace
that these wars it would end
so we could live side by side
without weapons to defend

They want to make us believe
that these people are oppressed,
they need to be saved
for their own very best

Do we really have the right
to destroy and kill another?
The enemy we wanna fight
But is it worth losing a brother?

Our loved ones, we left with concern
and never ending pain
when do we ever learn
and set ourselves free from these chains.
