Whispers

by beapolkadot   Dec 27, 2011

There's always something whispered in the breath
before a kiss
You don't know you're whispering it
To the general ear,
It wouldn't be heard
But I feel it
It's like you're choking
On your own personality
You hold, taking a moment to think
Protection or pleasure
Save her, heal me
You whisper hold me, take me, save me
From the monster beating in my head
From the beast that tears me apart,
Knowing my weaknesses
It is me
You don't know it, but you whisper
I need you
But I don't want to
Because I don't want me
And neither should you
You're just as broken as me
You whisper kiss me
Because each kiss distracts you
From the chaos numbing your brain
Two lips together are much easier
Than a dead poet
You whisper forced warnings
To hide myself
Escape the tormenting self-cynicism
You whisper a bipolar scream
Of wanting, but disgust
Be with me. But don't
You don't know how you feel
When you whisper in the
Hanging
Moment
Before
Kiss
Your whispers are imaginary
Maybe none of it is what you think at all
But they let me determine what's real

I've never read a poem about this. But i like it :).

You don't know it, but you whisper
    I need you
    But I don't want to
    Because I don't want me
    And neither should you
You're just as broken as me
    You whisper kiss me
    Because each kiss distracts you
From the chaos numbing your brain
-This is one of my fav parts. Saying how hes just as broken as you are & that you don't want him to want you bcuz you don't want yourself.

I like how with the end you ended it saying how the whispers let you determine if its real. Good job you can feel the emotion & it flows really good :)
