Doorsteps

by beapolkadot   Dec 27, 2011

Walking throug the snow, I know death waits
on my doorstep
It's a solid dark mass glaring at me
as I step forward
Trudging through the snow, I accept death
at my doorstep
We glance at each other
A nod of acknowledgment as I pass
Pacing through the snow, I watch death
on my doorstep
He waits for me patiently
Blocking me from warmth
Flying through the snow, I embrace death
at the doorstep
Arms open, I give in.
Take me where you please.
