Will My Love Be Here For Christmas

by Robert Hamilton   Dec 31, 2011

I sit alone and watch
The tiny snow flakes fall
I know that you are out there
Softly your name i call

I am so empty and alone
This cold, dark winters night
And your beautiful smile i long to see
But it is just no where in sight

As the snow now builds up
It begins to cover the ground
But within my poor longing soul
No happiness or joy can be found

A tear begins to fall
From my skyward looking eyes
As i gaze and think of you
I now begin to cry

As the neighborhood Christmas lights
Begin to twinkle and glow
I think " will this night she come to me? "
But the answer i do not know

The sun will set
On yet another winters day
Will my love be here for Christmas?
Well i can only hope and pray
