This is such a powerful write and I was hit each time with that sadness and tragic truth that you love this man more than he could have ever loved. The imagery and words were so well-picked, they just speak on their own! Well worth the read- I enjoyed each line, it had a good flow and very depressing effect.

So cliche, so overdone
and yet...

That's what it feels like.

Love this opening Jenni. You took such cliche words and turned them inside out just by inserting "That's what it feels like."

Two pulsating hearts once joined
slowly draped around each other
squeezing
choking
destroying

I could feel the smothering effect in this part. The imagery was very sad.

Yes, now I know it's true,
I always loved you.

More than you ever loved me.

Such a devastating term to come to when you realize you have given so much and the love you gave was not returned in the same way.

This write drips with sadness and is one I know many will relate too.
