Midnight Dance at the Cricket's Ball (Ottava Rima)

by Maple Tree   Dec 31, 2011

Listen to the wind as the hoot owls call
Dark of night kisses me gently, sweetly
This is the hour when stars shine, feeling small
Walking in woodlands very discreetly
Tree limbs sing, dancing at the cricket's ball
Silken leaves adorn my path quite neatly
Spiritually at peace, where I commune
I am captivated with mother moon

Love this one! such a beautiful poem about mother nature and you express your love for her in such an amazing way. I love the idea of a crickets ball, I can picture this in my head and makes me think what really goes with creatures out there that we have no idea about!

Lovely poem. I will have to try to do some of these forms some day.
