Today is all gray
Nothing seems to stay
Life is full of complications
Giving way to temptions

I want to be free
But life doesn't want to agree
I fake the smiles and laugh
Still dying in the photograph

Maybe the old me wasn't that bad
I wouldn't be this sad
But the scars still wouldn't heal
Harder and harder to conceal

I thought when it was all said
These words would be left dead

I wish I could just take it all back
And forget the hateful attack

I try to put on a smile day after day
