Deep Egg

by Maple Tree   Jan 2, 2012

Egg shells dance in dandelion ponds
filled with germinating tadpoles and ant horses
within this creative imagination, I can design
an everlasting multitude of nothing
calling it beautiful...
humoring myself, entertaining alone
as the raven fly's across the fields of my past....

Lol, you really do have a talent for words, I read this title and thought surely she could not write a poem about an egg... I was imagining a version of humpty dumpty lol.

I loved this poem because it shows that you do not have to write about things that are real. If you write about something well enough to create the vivid images you can amke the reader see anything you choose to describe. You are so talented, you should be a published writer! x

I love the first line - Egg shells dance in dandelion ponds. The common phrase is usually people dance on eggshells.

I love the imagery in this poem.

Great one! It's filled with very dense metaphors, and the whole scenery is drawn perfectly.. with enticing colors and versatile shades.
