I find the term emptiness of fear to be a contradiction in that in times of fear, all kinds of negative thoughts fill me and my fear. Nice work with the form.

This is the one form I can never seem to get it right but you have done it well as well as captured that feeling of sadness, loneliness and the memories the writer battles with..touching.
