Out of My Mind

by Michael D Nalley   Jan 4, 2012

Out of my mind
has come many a thing,
yet it is what's in my heart
that makes my soul sing.

Whether I zone out
or Hone in
I am never quite sure
where to begin

Face to face
is often a lonely place,
but it never
seems there is enough space,
To hold my spirit
thoughts and notions
bleeding out my emotions.

My natural selections
lack Good Orderly Direction
Anyone seeking revolution
may understand my evolution.
Out of chaos sometimes comes order
even on the edge of an autistic border

This just sounds like something my kids should read in their english books some day and have to analyze for an assignment. A lot of your poetry is that way.
    I loved it.
Your ending two lines had to me my favorite. I like the first stanza rhymed and almost had a chipper ring to it and in the end it left off with a serious tone. Great write!

You're doing just fine Michael...I've learned to laugh at myself a lot and then...when people laugh at me I'm already half way there to forgiving them.

After our conversation yesterday I just did some very light reading about what we discussed.

I understood the poem more knowing what you told me yesterday and what I had googled.

I enjoyed the poem and I think this is a beautiful piece.
