I understood the poem more knowing what you told me yesterday and what I had googled.

I enjoyed the poem and I think this is a beautiful piece.

You're doing just fine Michael...I've learned to laugh at myself a lot and then...when people laugh at me I'm already half way there to forgiving them.

This just sounds like something my kids should read in their english books some day and have to analyze for an assignment. A lot of your poetry is that way.
I loved it.
Your ending two lines had to me my favorite. I like the first stanza rhymed and almost had a chipper ring to it and in the end it left off with a serious tone. Great write!
