I Want Senses For My Child

by *nobody*   Jun 25, 2004

Now there is a new life inside me
And I know that he is pure and happy
He’s full of joy to live
And curiosity to discover.

So give two eyes to his face
To see the green of endless meadows
Blue of deep sky and the
Brightness of luminous stars.
To see a smile or a tear,
To see people red with anger
To see people fighting and
To see the light of love
In his lover’s eyes.

And give him a tongue
Let him be thankful to the food he eats
It may be hot or salty or sour or sweet
It may be terrible or delicious
But let him experience all of the tastes.

And give lips to his mouth
To sing songs and
To kiss.

And give him ears
To hear the lalluby that his mother sings
To hear love songs and also
To hear the gun shots of a war
And to recognize the silence.

And give him a nose
To know the fresh smell of flowers
To know the clean smell of new washed clothes
To recognize the clean and the dirty
And to breathe the life-filled air into his lungs.

Cover him with a skin
So that he knows a burning hot
And a freezing cold
And he knows pain
And relaxes in a warm hug.

And give intelligence to him
To choose the best among all
And don’t spare anything from him
Because I believe he deserves them all.
