Answered Desperate Prayer

Lost in the Darkness,
And I can't find my way,
So in desperation I hit my knees,
Folded my hands and prayed,

Dear God, if you know all,
Then you are aware of my void,
Being alone for years and months,
Has really got me annoyed,

It says in the book of matthew,
From the bible that you preach,
Blessed be the pure at heart,
But there is no prize I see.

I ended that prayer with thanks,
And lent faith in my work,
That he would send a miracle,
Wherever it may lurk,

My prayer were answered,
But little did I see,
That as I was being friendly,
It was Laila, he sent to me,

But as each day pasted,
I realized a little more than the one before,
With each laugh that filled the air,
I found myself wanting more.

I think it was no accident,
that feeling you had to help,
I believe it was my answer,
When I desperately cried out and knelt,

As I peer through the looking glass,
And all that we have been through,
We deserve each other,
And I think it's long overdue,

My heart grows every moment,
With you by my side,
I fall deeper in love with you,
Every time I see your eyes,
