My soul is flooding with the rain

of my secret source of pain;

The storm that centers in my eye

has no room to force a lie;

The feelings that scurry through

complicate my words to you;

For there is nothing to compare

with your touch of freeing air;

And though I try to swim, I sink

As you float above to think;

This is when you leave to shine

Still, up there, I know you're mine;

The waves of blue remove my sense

I hold on to a false pretense;

And there's no reason in my sea

Until you fly back down to me;

You are my single dose of Zen

You tell my heart to beat again;

And so it does, and so it will

For now my water's at a still;

Then you say that I can fly,

by your side into the sky;

"At most", I claim, "vicarious"

You say, "And your Aquarius?"

Smiling now, she takes my hand

"Let me show you where I land"

We drift away, and then there's blue;

"See, my love... I swim too."
