She says goodbye...

by Ayla Cortimai   Jan 7, 2012

The tears run down her face,
as she says goodbye.
He cannot excape his fate
He's run out of time...
They tell her he's gone,
though she still plays on...
She ends her song with a singing note,
holding her chin up high...
"It is time to say goodbye.."
She knows it's the end,
So she stands up and hold everyone around her up..
They need her now,
she can see.
He cannot excape his fate,
he's run out of time...

She stands up tall,
she sings through the pain.
She laughs through the tears,
She's there for the others fears.
He has saved four other lives,
that way they do not also say goodbye.
They still have time,
it is not their end...
She stands up tall,
she sings through the pain.

Other are worried,
others are scared.
She reasures them,
and erases their fears
Can you not see how this hurts her too?
She has lost her father,
and you have lost your son...
She reasures them,
and erases their fears..

The girl you see,
she strong, and weak
she won't show you her pain.
She turns to the ones she loves,
but still hides her pain.
Only recently did she come out of shock,
she faces reality...
He cannot excape his fate....
he has run out of time....

A strong poem which rhymes and is full of emotion. I loved the way you wrote it allowing a story to unfold, giving the reader a strong and vivid image within their mind. You have a strong, stay strong.

..mmh, I think the explicity employed in the story telling, somehow absorbed the appeal, though I frankly can assure.. the gist was breath-takingly, a heart-felt, drama. And bravo! especially to the cheer-lady within the story line.. Nicely done.. Keep writing!
