My 3 wishes

Sitting here thinking about
The man I left on Christmas
Why did I leave him, too many doubts?
Please listen to my 3 wishes

Wish number 1
I wish I knew why I left him
I miss him every day
He is the reason why I'm breathing
I still love him to this day

Wish number 2
I wish he could give me the chance
To prove that I was wrong
To welcome me back in his arms
And hold me for so long

I would kiss him oh so gently
And stroke his short blonde hair
I would put my hand on his heart
And dream that were still a pair

Wish number 3
I wish I could move on
And find some sort of closure
To be happy, healthy and alone
And to know that it is over

But wishes don't come true
And people change their ways
You will find someone better
They will give you happier days
