The Dancer

by Thomas Key   Jun 25, 2004

I am the dancer,

I move my feet to the beat, of the music,
the music of life.

I am the dancer,

I'm silent as I dance,
I cant let my past get in the way,
I cant let it cloud my mind.

I have to let go,
I have got to be free

I am the dancer,

I have memorized this song,
and I have memorized my steps

I am the dancer,

The only one on the floor,
dancing alone to this music,
the music of life.

I am the dancer,
and now my song is done,
it has reached its end.

I am the dancer,
and now I'm done.
