When death is near please tell him wait

by Harrison   Jan 12, 2012

Do my bones grow old and then fade away
Rotting in the ground in an endless decay
Or do they rise from the ground to be scattered afro
Washed up on beaches of which we do not know
Does my soul rip free of all flesh and bone
Pinned under dirt then slabs of stone
Or does it get caught in a breeze then blown away
Caught on the early winds of May
Does my heart still beat beneath the ground
Aching for love yet never to be found
Or does it burst from the dirt to be drowned in love
Taunted by the hearts breathing above
Do my dreams then fade and turn to dust
Growing cold and bleak and full of rust
Or do they continue to live with spirits and life
Drowning out sorrow, death and strife
Tell me please ,death draws near
I see his eyes; that heart stopping stare

Reading this draws a picture of emptiness where a yearning heart wants to feel and experience love before its life ends..maybe my interpretation is wrong but that is the picture I got..there is sadness surrounded by darkness in this write..take care.
