The Written Word

It has so much power over us
without even realizing it; one
line being erased from a story
can create a sense of unease.

Written words of love poetry
that seems to be missing the
key emotion of love in it
just like me without you.

Words that are left unspoken
or said and then taken back
seem to have the worst affect
especially when it's about love.

Hands shaking with an erased
line that held so much power
over the reader makes their
heart stop and rip slowly apart.

The written word has so much
power that can break us with
just a few sentences or non-existent
words that have disappeared...
