Doubtful Questions For A Lover

Pondering over the things that
so doubtfully run through my
mind and cause worry to grow
within my heart about being together.

Is this what our love is supposed to be,
a secret with no expiration date?

The questions start growing
higher and higher with each
moment of lack of communication
and doubts grow bigger and bigger.

Is your heart battling your mind like mine is
especially with all the doubt that the mind creates?

Tears start to flow that I even
think of these horrid questions in
the darkest corners of my unsteady
mind that seems to be creating deceiving scenarios.

Will you work through all these doubts with
me or will you just leave me for questioning us?
