Land Observer

Footsteps washing away with
the evening tides slowly moving
in and out from the rocky shores;
whistling wind brushing past the
washed up pieces of seaweed.

Desperate cries made into the
sorrowing night from whales
and seals in search of their
families that left them behind.

Lovers silently walking
hand-in-hand with wet clothes
bathed in the scent of salt water
and lustfully bad intentions.

The lighthouse light still moving
in rapid motions to warn the sea
faring boats of weary sailors that
the shoreline lie dead ahead.

Caves of untouched beauty tucked
within the rocky cliffs with untold
mysteries of the sea's creatures of
the deep lurk in the shadows beneath.

Your words paint an eloquent picture of beauty. I could almost feel the sand being washed away under my feet.
Excellent wording, nice flow and very descriptive
