Your losses are Heaven's gain

by Michael D Nalley   Jan 13, 2012

A master poet wrote your joy is your sorrow
Weighed honestly on a scale with no mask
You have not dwelt in the space of tomorrow
But the keeper will prepare you for the task

Nature can only take what nature gives
Sooner or later we all will be bereaved
No darkness can void where love lives
Eventually all pain will be relieved

No doubt it is sad to lose a familiar form
For affection is manifested by sight
Plus many other senses that are warm
Let your spirit rise to toward the Light

High above all earthly emotional pain
Where all sinners are justly contrite
Is a peace that is hard to explain
Where forgiveness always burns bright.

This one is a medicine for the soul, really, and it's all very true.
Sadly these days, it's only a poem like this, makes us realize what's in store for us Tomorrow. Of course we have not dwelt in the space of tomorrow, but this poem would make every human being with even a little faith to ponder about what's there to come.

I read it several times and still like to read it, it really lifts up the spirit.

    Light is love
    the universe is love
    God is the light
we will all be one with God and the light

I forget how much we think alike.

It is a peace that is hard to explain.. very true!

As hard as my poems try to, I still just ponder
    and theorize.

Once again... enjoying every word of your poetry

    On to the next one
