Methadone clinic

by Michael D Nalley   Jan 13, 2012

Just because I drove you to the methadone clinic
I have no right to judge you, or be a cynic.
We both know the difference between dope or medication,
getting high on unnatural chemicals, or healthy meditation..
*Anyone who cooks their supper with a ligher and a spoon
is bound to travel to disaster, or a prison very soon.
I can understand your weakness, and you should not hear me gripe
because we both know there is no relief in a bottle, syringe, or a pipe.
Unless we surrender the Higher Power of our, Savour and divine unity
where us sinners never deserve it, though we are offered merciful impunity.
You sought me in your time of need, and I took you to relief
May you take comfort in the mercy, you may accept with a belief,
Salvation is a glorious gift from God, no mortal has ever earned.
Pain can be useless to everyone, when no lesson is ever learned.
