Poetic Justice

by Michael D Nalley   Jan 15, 2012

Some say that idols are best made of stone,
where temples are built to stand on their own.
If you need mercy, do not feel alone.

Offer sacrifices to the only Sun,
yet forgiveness cannot be won.
It is a gift from the most Holy One.

Self-righteous sinners cast stones
until we all are left with broken bones
while seeking vengeance no mortal owns

Each individual is free to forgive,
those willing to live and let live.
To receive we must always give.

When the world turns, Light is protected..
Hell is where it is eternally rejected.
When a soul has substance it may be reflected.

Karma is a force offen selected
Mercy and justice may be neglected,
though divine laws must be respected
