Vegetable Garden

by Maple Tree   Jan 16, 2012

A verbal conversation, allowed the brain to retreat
back, when I was a young pea pod, growing in a garden.

A beautiful tomato vine stood before my emerald eyes
speaking about love and purity, being true to our soul.

Feeding upon soil, nurturing limber roots among-st the sun
growing high into the sky, waiting, embraced by hands of my maker

Precious Tomato, remembering encouraging words, watching her cultivate our growing ancestry of traveling gypsie vegetables.

We are an ever growing garden, life is a desire to flourish, ignoring the infestation of weeds, searching to choke are need to live...

    Oh yeah,

I could be a tomato too.. haha
or a carrot, but perhaps I rather seem me as a fruit instead of a vegetable.

It was a great poem, I like the comparison of vegetables to our lives. And the last line speaks volumes. Well done.
