Expected battle

by Chelsey   Jan 18, 2012

Sullen behavior you put off
give me reason to believe,
you now hold onto grudges,
rather than to my hand

Silent words speak the loudest-
to my disgruntled heart...

An underlying resentment
that has control over your thoughts,
has proven once again,
your opinion will not change

You have made your bed,
lay quietly in it...

I've gained a carefree attitude
that has told my mind,
you're not worth fighting for-
any longer.

I blame you for the end,
of what was once "forever"...

You'll anticpate me to fight
to get you back.
Unbeknownst to you,
I've laid down my armor

You expected a battle,
but now I've brought you a war...

1st of all, I Relate to it, and my favorite part, Is something i'd love to start quoting,
You've expected a battle, but Now i've brought war.

5/5 and you really have a way with the wording that makes it very easy for me to enjoy it.

    I can't even..
    CAN I HAVE THIS?"
    Please, come up BebiGurl
as a birthday gift or so?

say "Yes, yaki..you can have this, go share it with the world"

    I love, Love
    the use of "I gained"
acting as if you're happy to not care...
as if it was a reward..

    I LIKE,I LIKE,I LOVE,I LOVE..
Oh come on.. give me this...

stop taking trips through my mind,
and stop writing my feelings okay..

joke, you obviously do a far better job than me..

and the ending was so RAW..
I pictured you like a powerranger armed with everything...RAWR..

    I just keep re-reading
I can relate to this, way too much.

My fav stanza of the poem. Your choice and use of words is amazing. The poem flows flawlessly and smoothly. I really loved the atitude or strong feelings portrayed in this poem and the ending was amazing. 5
