A letter From Syria To Al-Assad

by NIDAL   Jan 23, 2012

First part of the poem is from Bashar Al Assad To Syria. Then Syria Responds.

====================================

Syria My love..Why have you left?
And to strangers your heart wept.

I promised to love you to my dyeing bed,
But I see you fearful and hiding in a dark shed.

Syria why you bloodied me with your rocks?
I am still your husband, your Shepard and you are my flock.

Ya Bashar,

Yes I once loved you but you know love is so blind.
I knew you from the beginning of my time.

I trusted you with my children and my Mom.
But when I came home I saw a scene of a horrible crime.

How can we get back together?
When the blood of innocence is a river separating us forever.

I still hear them cry in my darkened dreams.
Now my life is a nightmare it seems.

Bashar..Don't Blame me..I am leaving you for another man,
He loves me more than you ever can,

He promised me happiness and he has a plan.
He offered me a beautiful wedding band.

His Name Is Freedom and Our Marriage will withstand.
He Already Kissed me and Vowed ..YES WE CAN YES WE CAN.

You have some nice poetic talent, but I think it needs a bit of refining. I don't like the idea of a "letter." I would just use the second part here and drop the rhymes, since they seem a bit forced. Also, I would try to stay away from using cliches.
